BEGIN TO BE NOW, WHAT YOU WILL BE HEREAFTER

All of us today have some ambition in our mind, having an intense desire deep down the heart to fulfil it and bring out the very best in ourselves. I personally believe that a true person is the one, who provides vision and practices the right blend of management and human relations.

American Philosopher and Psychologist, William James once wrote, “Begin to be now what you will be hereafter.” This quote may be implied to people who have ever felt defeated or couldn’t achieve their goal. According to me, it is an ever encouraging quote reflecting the idea of ‘Try, Try, Try until you succeed’. Life is not straight but full of twists and turns. Similarly one may face many obstacles and hurdles in life. But motivation and encouragement could serve him as a tool to success. If he has made up his mind and actually puts efforts, then he will do it.

There is a saying that actions speak louder than words. So we should begin Now in pursuit of how we want to be in the future. There is no time called as “The Right Time”. The most powerful moment is NOW. So one should do the work there and then.

A person should plan for the future and live in the present. For example- if we want to start a business, we would have to plan -what to produce, how to produce and for whom to produce. Without proper planning, failure is certain.

First and foremost a person should make sure that he/she has a strong character. A good character includes various habits, postures, attitudes etc. A strong character ensures positive results. Personal habits such as waking up early, being on time, working hard etc are to be developed early in life. Our interpretations to various situations in life is known as our attitude. Positive attitude ensures success in life. Same situation can give stress to one person and be an opportunity to shine for the other.

After character the second quality we need to imbibe at an early age is our knowledge. Education is the greatest gift to mankind. The only way forward is education. Without education, progress is impossible. A strong character with sheer determination and true talent is the perfect combination for achieving great results in the future.

In today’s faced paced competitive world, man seems to have compromised all his values and character in a bid to earn, use and possess more and more of material wealth. As a result we see rampant corruption, unlawful activities, inhuman behaviour and immortal consumption, which is slowly breaking the very structure of the society, nation and the world. Therefore, there is an urgent need to introduce value based spiritual education dealing specifically with human values.

A child’s mind is like soft clay and can be molded in any desired shape. Thus this is the right time and age to guide him. School is the common platform for all children coming coming from various backgrounds. In an interactive and learning environment of the school, where a child spends his maximum waking time, the human values can be easily evoked in him by making him “experience” and “live” the values. Teachers, in turn, present themselves as role models to be emulated.

It is rightly said by Aristotle “Roots of Education are bitter but the fruits are sweet.” I am very well inspired by this and have experienced in my own life. It all started when I was in class six and opted for German as the third language. I was fascinated by the language and became passionate about it. Hence I joined the Institute of German Studies, Noida.

I believe that if one has a passion for the field, he/she will do it successfully regardless of what it takes. Yes, there is coursework that is challenging, however a good and positive attitude is everything. Initially it was difficult to cope up with German and academics simultaneously. But I was determined and as a result I achieved a scholarship to Germany in 2011. I truly believe that to achieve something you have never achieved before, you have to be something you have never been before…! I am still continuing with my German studies as I want to pursue my career in this field.

According to me this topic does not related to oneself but also the surroundings and environment. Changes start with ideas. Together we can bring a change. There are many movies like ‘Rang De Basanti’ which tell us that the youth has immense power to change and dawn the country to new beginnings.

The modern world is full of insecurity, fear, war, worry and stress. World peace ensures happiness. In order to achieve this we have to spread the message of peace and harmony by practicing non-violence. I feel that today an ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.

I would like to draw attention towards the truth about our planet. How long will it survive if we go on the same way, polluting and destroying it? But if people all together begin trying to change their behaviour in order to make our planet better, we will be able to achieve our motive of getting the Perfect World.

It’s truly said,’Charity begins at home’, so we should start in our homes, with friends and neighbours to conserve our world. I would like to be a proud citizen of this Perfect World hereafter.

Today the vital aspect that needs to be instilled in people is the keyword, that is lacking in them, known as AWARENESS. If we make people aware NOW, we can create a perfect world. The Father of our Nation once quoted, “Be the change you want to see.” If we start working for our future from now, it may be considered by some as a drop in the ocean, but we should not forget, without it- the ocean will be dropless…

Each one of us should begin Now to change our habits for the better and remember that if we take care of the small things, the big things will take care of themselves.

So the key to success is to Absorb, Learn and most importantly to Act.
