The Night Sky…

Exam time makes one appreciate the beauty of a night sky…this is the result of roaming under the sky…and staring away at the stars..as late as 4 am 🙂 just a random string of thoughts

“Nights are amazing,…the way the darkest hues of blue recede to duller gray counterparts after being pierced by the night city lights glowing  on the horizon like the beacons of mystery….the lights make this delightful pattern known only to my eyes…it dawns a feeling of being back home jobless… Remaining constant and same…subtly distinct but with an easy sense of familiarity….the stars…are shining eternally..unlike many of us..clouds make them diminish and disappear not unlike our fate when confronted by problems…it gives peace…being static as it is but also fluidly dynamic…

The lone star, near the moon..inspires with awe a power unknown to the being to shine and be as eminent as it is..it remains constant when everything around you changes…life changes…people change…and situations keep changing..,,it soothes us down…the burning rage ..The burning desires…the frustration..it all disappears and a complementary calmness settles it…engulfing us and driving all other thoughts out..

The night sky…it complements the beauty of earthly objects amidst the soft glow hiding the deformities in the darkness….it provides an opportunity to de-attach…cut off from the shallow world of obligations…away under the natural roof amidst life at rest,,but the stillness rejuvenates…it enthralls and woes to follow to the dawn of understanding a whole new world awakens when the darkness falls..darkness brings enlightenment ..The space to let go the bindings and think in peace armed with virtues and patience “

The silence provides a virtual space..to think…imagine….and being creative….”

In the rememberence of the spirit which united the nation on A Wednesday…

roi thi wo aankhen,
jinki koi pehchaan na thi,
roe the wo dil,
jinke koi juban na thi,
roya tha har sapna,
jo ek pal mein tut gaya,
pr jee utha wo jasba,
jo kahin tha kho gaya…

26/11/2008 a wednesday.. a day that changed our lives forever.. which after long time of  “maratha manush” politics brought back whole country together. an attack not just on our soverignity but on our lives, our belives, our values… which made us realise “hey, the one died was one among us… one of ours..” deep within us we found ourselves connected, we discovered ourselves united, we cried for the loses of those whom we never met, whom we didn’t even knew.. the victims had no face.. because somehow every reflection in the mirror was the face of victim.. stories are told of that day… how ordinary man rose to be heronot just the forces who hunted those terrorists down… or the big faces we remember today.. karkare, kamte, salaskarbut there were heroes.. the unsung heroes… Vishnu Dattaram Zende the railway announcer of CST.. who held his position guiding the public on plateform to safe exits.. when CST was under attack… and his booth was under fire.. he held his position… or Karambir Kang general manager of Taj who beared the loss of his whole family in attacks at hotel was directing guests to the safety.. on the face of such personal tragedy a man stood up came forward did something which was beyond the call of duty… they did it for the voice within them…the call of humanity, spirit of brotherhood, and great courage…the triumph we saw on 29th nov after 3 days.. was not gifted to us by some few… but by whole mumbai with its true spirit.. and because they believed in hero within themselves… fire fighters who without any safety equipments were doing there duty… hotel staffs who changed the meaning of hospitality forever.. doctors who worked around the clock as wounded keep coming in.. in true sense it was never an attack by some fanatics against the nation… it was not attack by Pakistan on India.. it was definitely not the fight between good and evil… it was a test of spirit… it was test of our values… our believes… and we stood up to it… no matter how busy our lives are… or how isolated we feel… at the moment of distress we know we can count on person standing beside us.. we know if we fall the one behind us will get hold on us… and living with this trust.. is only living life in true sense… if u feel the pain of those who u never knew… if u can cry for their sufferings… if u feel united to the society you are part of… if u feel ur heart beating for a cause..  if u believe in hero within you… then yes.. you are living…… LOVE&LIFE

a salute to the spirit who sacrificed there lives just for the believe which they stand for

aao jhuk kr salaam kren unhe,
jinke hisse mein ye mukaam aata hai,
kiskadar khushnasib hain wo log,
khun jinka watan k kaam aata hai….

An answered farmer’s cry…

The earth was dry skinned… So dry with the sun’s mighty heat that it had stopped crying. There was dryness everywhere out and everywhere insideinside so deep that it met with fire. There seemed no difference between hell and heaven, both with hatred and love… but with the heat, no sign of wetness existed there, no sign of life created by soil of the skin of dry earth.

Wetness was only inside the strongest animal of the earthwho was controlling himself not to break, but he could not break the fiery bond between his family.

He looked at his dying hope… a wretched piece of earth which had taken half the life of that man as struggle but still was half empty, and then at his dying children with their mouths open for a drop of water… the farmer unable to control the river inside his heart gazed above with his moist hopeful eyes meeting with the equally moist eyes of the rain goddess, who was dawning on the sky like a dream with her soothing long gown flying above the almighty sun, with her cloudy children beside her she felt the pain of farmer’s dying children…

Tears started falling from her eyes meeting with sadness of farmer’s eye forming a sign of support giving a lift and strength to the rain drops pattering on the cheeks of earth. Comfort spreads on the heated ground of earththe dry tears on farmer’s face are accompanied by the rain falling on his curved lips. His children are rejoicing with the children of rain.

A sign of everlasting love is seen between the meeting of soil and water. The comfort provided to Mother Nature makes her alive and she thanks the rain by forming half a circle of  her greenery accompanied with the colorful rainbow smile of the earth making a complete circle of love.

The end of the rainbow sends shimmering colors down the rain goddess surrounded by blessings of white clouds, the sun blesses her with the crown of rays for her godliness against him and deep down the soul of farmer thanks her. Deeply touched by all this, the rain goddess smiles with joy-never-felt-before and a small tear glints at the corner of her eye.
